This "box" has a Salmon design on the front, a halibut on the lid and matching Whales with Salmon for a dorsal fin on either end. A Blanket Box or Stoarage Chest in "a time before this" would typically have been a bent wood box made by steaming and shaping one continuous piece of cedar. This amazing Art is by no means lost but would be difficult with boxes of this size. These are modern boxes. |
